Little Kid friendly Amiga games
« on: March 16, 2008, 11:04:24 PM »
Ok, I've set up the old A1200 and tweaked it for my 4 year old. Does anyone have a list of non-violent Amiga games?

The Mickey Mouse games are fun.
Marble Madness
Lemmings
Diggers(Some monsters but not graphic.)

Does anyone have a good list somewhere. I'll turn him loose on them all when he's older but right now I'd like to keep the guns, knives, kicks, etc. to a minimum.

Thanks everyone for any suggestions.

I think, Therefore - Amiga....

When did lemmings become non-violent?

When did Lemmings become non-violent?  Last time I played it had the poor little things dieing by the droves and in some pretty horrific ways.  Falling to their deaths with a splat sound, falling into fiery pits, getting crushed, and last but not least, the player can press the "nuke" button and make them all explode into tiny little pieces.

There was a good thread a few weeks back on kid friendly games, had a lot of suggestions and worth a quick search.

Every time I post on here there always has to be at least one smart a**. Yes, the Lemmings come to end end but they don't cut each other up with axes, swords, shoot each other with guns. If Lemmings is over the top for you kids that's fine but I was trying to give a sense of what we were playing already.

Thanks, I thought I remembered that so I searched for kids and children. Does anyone have an idea of what to put into the site search to find it?

Thanks, I forgot about PacLand - Zool isn't bad either, I might wait a few more months on that one. He tends to mimic a lot right now and I don't want to get a round house to the n*ds. IF you know what I mean.;^)

I'll have to look up the first two, I haven't seen those.

Thanks Daniele.

Also, most kids really enjoy Monsters of Terror.

When your kid gets a little older,Donald Duck's Playground might be fun. Donald Duck's Playground
There's a bit of reading and calculation, so maybe a bit hard for a 4-year old.

Another good one is 'Little computer people', my 2 year old daughter is spellbound by this little game. But for a 4 year old it might be a bit dull to just watch. You'd need to enter commands each time to make it interesting again.

Another good game is Super Squeek (or Skweek).
