Strange WB 3.9 behaviour!

hey guys

I cannot format any floppy disk under OS 3.9 by the workbench menu 'format'

Do you know what's going on?

Help me please!

You did select the disk to format first, didn't you?
Get a SAM, while you can! The new AMIGA is here!

sure I clicked on the floppy then I gave the format command by WB but won't format !!!

Are you able to format it using CLI?

This sounds very strange. Is your floppydrive ok, ís it able to read disks?  :-?

The Format command is stored in SYS:System, not SYS:C so have a look there and see if it's gone missing. It's quite easy to move files my accident into subdirectories or different directories, making the command inaccessible to the normal ways of doing it. Do you get any errors? What message do you get in the shell when you type "SYS:System/Format" ?
