« on: February 26, 2008, 04:26:03 PM »
 The Amiga as well we know has always been a leader let's have it lead where others have not yet found their way. Some don't even know Web 2.0 even exists. We have leaders let's do our part look it up then lead the way.

Yeah, we'd all be happy with Web 1.0 since it currently is naught point three...

AROS is close, it'll be Web 1.0 sometime this year.  Three cheers for Traveller!!!

My thoughts exactly. I guess it is just someone trolling for another pathetic online argument.

@hancock

So hop on your Amiga, do a bit of blogging, fight some ninjas on Facebook, hook up with a hottie on MySpace, mash up your favorite NPR podcasts and AP and Reuters RSS feeds, and you're good to go. Oh, and don't forget to plot the birthplaces of the authors of your most recent Amazon purchases on Google Maps, cross-refernced with the closest Starbucks and their most recent iTunes recommendations, of course. ;-)

EDIT:

Damn. I forgot the color gradient buttons.

I hate to have the Amiga crawl into stasis when all we have to do is climb onto a server with clever people. and We have brains dont we ???

Where do you think it would be by now without your head ache my friend trev. Not just simply breathing and sighing in my coupboard. I have had mine for 21 years how about stopping the rubbish you just spewed and use the Amigas brain to answer for itself where am I now. not hidden. But out there. Leading the way. the real Amiga was out there for technology and not just for bits. but for sense. Maybe a little of that of which you aint got my friend lets go places. They have desktops and browsers and workbenches for Web 2.0 forget all that lets get Her out and fly. Some of you are still walking the quick sand. But others I know arent there just for the games not those who believe. http://www.paulgraham.com/web20.html

check out wikipedia. I would love to know if there were serious users.

Being a little more thoughtful with regards to paragraph structure, sentence structure, and punctuation would also be appreciated. Sweeping statements about airborne Amiga's doesn't count as a reasoned argument. No one requires elite English usage, though a thoughtfully written post will always be more well received.

Unstructured arguments tend to read as trolling, which is not well received.

Regards, Oliver.

@hancock

The Amiga is just a general purpose computer. The device itself has no bearing on the sociointeractive and collabortive aspects of computing. At its core, Web 2.0 is about commoditizing distributed services--nothing more.

Or we can all just accept the fact that not everyone here is a native English speaker and get over it. ;-) His thoughts were communicated well enough to spur a debate. In hindsight, they were probably intended to be a rallying cry.
