The standoffs provided with the Minimig should be sufficient protection lifting the board away from the Plexiglass.  As with all electronics (Minimig) touching them could lead to damage by a static charge.  

I have had a PC in a clear acrylic case for years with no problems of static charge.  

But, none the less something to consider when sliding your Minimig across the carpet...... :crazy:

What about damage occurring from objects or fingers accidentally going in the sides of the case? Or accidentally touching the board through the side? Seems a bit risky to me...

My Minimig is currently unaffected by ESD.

I bought one of these cases from wizard and recommend them to anyone wanting something nice and simple but effective.
