A2000 Tower Project
« on: February 11, 2008, 01:14:45 PM »
I have decided to try and put a Amiga 2000 in a tower but was looking for some help. What hardware would you choose that would best fit and give best performance?Specifically, what accelerator card ,video card and other hardware would be the best?

This system would have a video toaster/flyer in it at some    point. This might have some problems if I put a video card in it or on which video card I use.I might use a flicker fixer  instead.

As it stands.
I like GVP's 060 cards (if I can find one).
Video I always liked the PicassoV.Can't go Wrong with it.The toaster might not work with it?

Thanks

Any Ideas?         :-o  :-o

Why though? They are bloomin' huge and has plenty of space for add-ons.

That's a huge project. I remember towering my 4000....
took me quite a while to do it only to go back to the desktop.
Have fun :-)  :-)

First, it's not in a case at all. I'm starting from scratch!I have a tower and psu and few other things. This is something I have been wanting to build.

Thanks

I achieved a nice looking A2000 Tower some years ago by putting rubber feet on the left hand side of the case and rotating it 90 degrees anti-clockwise.

Voila!!

it's sacrilege to break that precious AGA scandoubler to fit that beauty into a stupid slow zorro2 bus. Get yerself a ICD flickerfixer which plugs onto denise and be done with it !

actually, since you have to occupy the video slot with the video toaster, you have to find a scandoubler which clips onto denise. If you need a scandoubler that is.

also, last time I checked there was no such thing as a picasso V.
I believe in mt. Fuji

Oh yeah! My bad Piacasso IV.Sorry, I might have been away from the Amiga scene to long but I should have caught that brain fart.
