Woz was irritating.  He knows Commodore owned them back then....  The Apple II sucked!  It was a sick joke.  I loved my Commodore 64!

A bit old of a thread, but I was at the event and I wanted to say that indeed Woz was a bit annoying with his defensiveness. I think that unfortunately after his airplane accident he has suffered. His personal website is interesting, but so much of it is full of defensiveness and "I invented this" and "I did that", not that he didn't do those things and he wasn't a genius, but nobody says that he didn't, so there's really no reason to put like that, or, he wasn't the only one. Anyhow, if you read it, you might understand what I'm trying to say. Same behaviour (but much more toned down was in the event).

As for Jack... well, you figure it out.

Adam Chowaniac and William, the father of the PC, those two were 100% on the ball, but unfortunately didn't get much air-time.

Back in the 80's, there was an article published called "The Design Case History of the Commodore 64" and it was published in the magazine section of the newspaper.  I may still have a copy of it somewhere.

It is copyrighted and I wouldn't have permission to post it/upload it even though I saw copies of it on various Bulletin Boards.  It is possible that some of the C-64 user groups / BBS's might still have a copy.

What bugged me was that this was a C-64 anniversary. But WOZ undermines the spirit of the event and achievements of Commodore and the success of the C=64 with statements like" At apple we were trying to build a company that would be around 20 years later, unlike commodore..." (Im paraphrasing)

Then he says... When you look at Apple II owners many ofthem have become CEO's of major companies, Can the same be said about C=64 onwers?" (again paraphrasing)

Dude, get off the high horse. The C=64 was legendary, deal with it.

Was cool to hear him talk about the AppleIIgs, that was a nice machine, great design. (Cough...Amiga wannabe...Cough)
