« on: February 10, 2008, 06:22:13 PM »
hi i`ve been out of the amiga scene for a good while
instead of "building/developing" new architecture,hardware
whatever why don`t Amiga inc use whats already there
AMD Nvidia for instance. I do miss the old miggy but all the conjecture false promises haven`t done the platform any favours

As far as the Amiga is concerned AmigaKit is good, for expansion.
But it you are thinking of a modern Amiga then forget it, its all bull*hit and rumours.

The Amiga was/is a great computer but it had IDIOTS running the idea.

Think of it like putting Holmer Simpson in charge of a real life or death situation, you can only die of that one.

I can't see that monami. I saw a cow's head get partially cut off as part of the McDonalds vid, but no human head stuff. What part of the website is this image on? At the top? I personally don't believe we're seeing the same site here! :-P

EDIT: Wait, I see it. Looks like it came from rotten.com, could be real. I strongly suspect its fake though.

The trouble with updating to the 21st Century means pretty much abandoning the past, but the Amiga is about retro, so you can't abandon the past.  It's a dilemma.  What you need is to build a new Amiga on top of (say) Linux to save having to write all those networking, memory management etc.

There's no money, no programmers and not market.  It ain't gonna happen.  Enjoy Amiga for what it is, a trip down memory lane to a simpler time.
