Ibrowse is quite fast on my A4000 too, running OS4. Compared to my old PC. But it could just as well be a psychological feeling.

MAN! Ibrowse is fast..... It's increadible!

You should try it on Pegasos or AmigaOne then :) After that 060 seems to crawl... although it isn't bad itself either, but there still is a HUGE difference :)

fast as IE7 on my PC

Just did a quick stop watch test on my brand new Lenovo X61s that I got from my work (C2D, 2 GB RAM, XP). When opening a new tab, IE7 needs 6 seconds to connect to about:blank. This is just ridiculous.

Hahahaha! You think IBrowse is fast? I think USPS and Norwegian post is fast!!! Can't believe it got there so quick! I was going to write you another email like "it should be coming by the weekend"...

Anyways, it's great to see your post from your "brand spanking new" A4000 setup :-)

I did the same but with Firefox, and a 3 year old laptop, 768mb ram, an Intel Pentium M running at 1,4hghz. Running XP SP2

Within a second.

Is it really worth the money to get a Mediator board ?
My A4k has an Apollo 4060 and a Picasso IV, it is build into
the Elbox Power tower.

If you've got a PicassoIV, then no. It's probably not worth the money to get a mediator. I certainly wouldn't do it under those circumstances.

What speed computer? My Amiga is no where near as fast as IE7 on my PC (2.4GHz P4, XP32)

It's a Core2Duo@ 2ghz. But it feels like 2mhz 68000.

I think the reason is all the security software our it department has installed it. I'm in banking and finance. And the IT department hates laptops. So they install loads of crappy software, and encrypts the disk.

After I've entered my credentials, it takes 5++ minutes to log in, and even more if I'm on the office lan as it then wants to synchronize the drives THREE TIMES!!! before it leaves operation to me, the user.

Things are a bit more snappy on my own private laptop, but I rarely use that one. Since I'm really just one person, and thus only really need one computer.... (silently counting 4 amigas, 4 laptops and a htpc...)
