Yes, it's a top down shoot 'em up.  (Or, 3d if you're playing one of the Alien Breed 3d games...)
Time to move on.  Bye Amiga.org.  :(

@trekiej

What types?  Shoot'em ups like Alien Breed  or Platformer like James Pond

Like Alien breed:   Chaos Engine and Chaos Engine 2, Alien Bash, and WANTED

Platformer: Traps & Treasures, Zool, Zool 2, Kid Chaos, and one of the coolest: Ruff N Tumble (may be considered Shoot'em up)

CD32 is actually the best Amiga ever made by Commodore!...

I was checking out Payback.  apex-designs has a GP32x version and GBA.  It looks like GTA but I need to look further into it.

I was looking back at Alien Breed and was thinking about what were the different genres.
edit: It sounds like Arcade but that would mean Galaga too.
??
James Pond sounds like a platformer like Sonic.

AlienBreed is a shoot-em up but not for sure what genre.

Command and Conquer is a 3/4 or Orthographic view.
