Test Drive II Extra Disks HELP!
« on: January 28, 2008, 12:34:58 PM »
I have the adf's of the scenery disks and two extra car disks but I want them on actual amiga disks, is there anyone who can do this for me? I dont mind paying a few quids for the service.

Or, I do have a HD in my A1200 but I have no idea how to get games onto it and I dont have a PC (only Mac) so I cant use any Windows Software

This would make me the happiest person alive to get the extras for my fave game

Thanks!

i think the mac should support a cardreader?
so u can transferr it easy with a card to your amiga and then use adfblitzer or common program to write them to disk

The way i managed to make up some disks was to xfer the adfs as zip files onto a 720kb disk then xfer them to the miggy hard drive via crossdos, then unzip to work: temp: or where ever. i grabbed a copy of madf and adf2disk, details in the readme for mdaf,(at work just now so cant check for you) madf is a rexx script, once you execute you point it to the path where the adf files are stored ie madf temp: it makes up a mulitiew doc, from there you just click on an embedded button in the doc for each disk and it makes them up one at a time, its an idea to keep an eye on the disk activity as it doesnt tell you when its finished, but ive found it very easy to use.
Rediscovered that Amiga companionship :)

You need a PCMCIA > CF adapter but this are p**s easy to install. I was amazed. I actually have the Test Drive II with extra cars and tracks but have no idea how to use the extra cars. :-( I would love to find out how as I got all the CF stuff working.

The TDII extra cars disks worked on UAE for me from memory theres a bit where you select your DF:1,2,3 etc but not sure if thatll work with WHD?

Martin Lee, You will have to tell me how you did that. I only once managed to get them working by pure fluke and have no idea how.

Yep, that's the one, or any other compatible pcmcia compact flash reader.
Ofcourse you could get a network interface for your Amiga and hook it up to your Mac, but lets keep things easy
