Free working Amiga 500 if you can pick up in Chicago
« on: January 24, 2008, 05:00:00 AM »
Hello Amiga 500 users,

I have a working Amiga 500 that I will give away to anyone that's willing to pick it up in Chicago. The thought of pitching it in the trash would be cruel, so I'd rather give it away.

If I can't get anyone to pick it up for free, then I'll take the best offer plus the cost of shipping it to you.

If you have questions, let me know.

If no one picks it up, I am willing to pay the cost of shipping for the A500 to send it to Michigan.

 :-)

I have started to look for a functional Amiga so I can read all of my old floppies.  Some of my college computer work is stored on them.  My A1200 motherboard has a keyboard-related problem and its too costly for me to have someone fix it (I'm unemployed right now).

Although it is possible that I could pick the A500 up in Chicago, I wonder if you would be willing to take $5 + the cost of shipping to ship it to me here?

Otherwise, I would have to weigh out the cost of fuel for me to drive there, or to have a friend who lives in Chicago pick it up for me.

I would not need a monitor.

Let me know what you think.

Mark
