@woz:
I've recently bought a BBlizzard PPC 060/50-603e/240 mhz card, non working, wont boot at all in my A1200T.
Was it described as "non-working" when you bought it? If not, check the following first:
Some combinations of an A1200 motherboard and a BlizzPPC require an
additional reset after power on, simply hit CTRL-Amiga-Amiga after turning the machine on and see if that helps.
Some motherboards do not like the BlizzPPC at all. My original motherboard was extremely unstable with the BlizzardPPC connected. I have not heard about a computer not starting at all because of this problem, but it may be worth checking if the card works with another A1200.
What kind of PSU are you using? If you're still using the original "black brick" PSU of your A1200, chances are pretty good that the PSU is simply not up to the task. Try a more powerful PSU (like one of those that were delivered with the A500, or even better yet: a real AT/ATX power supply).
Could someone sujjest a way of working out what the problem may be, and who can I send it too for repaire in the UK. I've emailed DCE but not had a response yet.
If the card still does not work (or you knew that it was not working when you bought it), try
http://www.Amiga.fr. They're located in France, but they're the only ones still repairing PPC cards AFAIK. You may aswell contact Ben Hermans from
Hyperion: Hyperion are offering a repair service for CyberstormPPC cards (Hyperion is just managing the logistics, I think that the people repairing the cards are still Amiga.fr). Maybe the can handle your BlizzardPPC too (this way you might be able to just send the card to your local dealer, instead of having to send it to France).
Avoid DCE at all costs - a lot of people were treated extremely bad by that particular company.
