A2000 GVP memory problems
« on: January 12, 2008, 05:01:22 AM »
Just throwing together an A2000 to play with...

I have a GVP A3001 with 8 megs on the daughtercard.

I am running it with a GVP HC+8 Series II also with
8 megs on it.

Why do I not get 16 megs of fastram? If I unplug
one or the other, both report 8 megs. Sysinfo and AIBB
report no mem on the HC+8 if the A3001 is installed.

I also have an A2065 and an A2410 in there, but I dont
think they are causing any trouble.

Any ideas?

I didnt think that counted for the accelerator in the CPU slot.

I guess it does...

Depends on the accelator. GVP A3001 has the memory in Z2 autoconfig area.

However, apparently the 50MHz model with 68030-RAM32 module & 4MB GVP SIMM modules could support >8MB.
