HERE Somehow you just get the feeling by the wording, this new and unimproved AA is the mythical OS5.  :crazy:
Someone has to state the obvious and that someone is me!

AmigaAnywhere is the step forward we've been diligently pursuing, making it easy to instantly and safely run all types of content on their favorite devices

Oh joy! I can barely wait for AA2 to be ported to the iPhone so I can finally listen to music, look at photos and watch videos on it!

And furthermore;

"The Amiga world has waited long enough," said Bill McEwen, President of Amiga Inc.

And we are still waiting for them to deliver something relevant to *THE AMIGA* :roll:

Can someone explain what the hell "Amiga Anywhere" actually is?

I know that A.Inc spout a load of crap about 'rich media' and other such tosh, but what does it actually offer that 'native' apps (games, media-players, etc) of your average hand-held device don't?

Cheers,

Mike.

Think of it as the Amiga emulator UAE, it makes a virtual CPU which lets you run the same program on different real CPU's. Its basically making a virtual hardware platform and then putting an OS (any OS) on top of it.
As for making it better at playing games or watching vids, it does nothing except eat more CPU time in doing the translations from the virtual CPU to code the real CPU can understand.

I don't think Amiga Inc. will ever produce or sell anything for Amiga.  It's pretty much the statement I expected, and it's far from being better than OS X.  I think Hyperion should just rename OS4 for future versions.  Maybe Hyperion OS, or something.  The only real thing happening for Amiga is what's been happening from the Triad, MorphOS team, Hyperion and AROS team.
