Locale blocking software launch off of Harddrive
« on: January 06, 2008, 11:36:19 PM »
I copied ComicSetter to my harddrive on my A1200 10 megs of ram to see if I
could get it to launch there.  When I double click the icon the program opens and tells me that I do not have a printer installed.  I click ok, then it tells me the program is only for North America again I click ok and the program shuts down.  Since I am sitting in Texas this is a little surprising, my local is set for North America my time zone, so what could be the issue here?  Thanks in advance for any help.

Maybe you have a PAL Amiga motherboard, or you might be running in PAL mode...
That's what prevents Lemmings from working for instance. If I boot in NTSC mode, then it works fine otherwise it doesn't, might be the same for you I guess.
