Got any AMOS graphics / game grphics?
« on: January 04, 2008, 03:38:53 PM »
Hey everyone,

I was wondering if anyone here had any graphics they drew aiming towards video games.  My brother created a "bob studio" program in Blitz Basic on the PC.  He actually started out on AMOS Professional and he added the feature to import AMOS banks and convert them to BMP so other programs can view the graphics.

Right now me and him are working on a Blaster master clone.  The game was originally for the NES and I wanted to extend on the story or make one of my very own.  The gameplay was great, but felt that it was short on a few features like the enemies and parts of the stages.

Mainly he already programmed the gaming engine side and plays exactly like Blaster Master. We just need means of getting some graphics that are original.  We are using the graphics from the NES, but mainly any kind of redrawn or original art for a game would be nice.  Enemies you kill during the game or main bosses would be something most interesting for now.

Any help or any recommendations would be great.  Eventually we will put together a demo so any PC user can try out the game.

Thanks! :)

I don't have banks of graphics but I do have a desire to make old banks work on new computers.  Would you consider emailing me a copy of the ABK to BMP converter with the source?

Hey,

Sorry for the late reply.

The program that my brother wrote is part of his bob studio itself.  The AMOS Professional programming manual had the stuff in it explaning how the banks worked and how the file was.

If you have a few graphics that I can have my brother convert, we would be more then happy to show it does work! :)

Hmmmm, when I get back to my home, I will try to make a website with screenshots of the program. Its also an animator and map designer all in one, just like the good old Amos Turbo Plus extentions.  :-D
