WOW! I got another carful of Amiga gear today!
« on: December 24, 2007, 11:54:23 PM »
Saw an ad on craigslist.org yesterday. $50 for an Amiga 3000! Sold! I picked it up today and it fired right up, the guy was a mathematician who did programing, about 300 or 400 floppies includes with manuals, and the A3000 even has a 386 card installed he said! Not bad huh? Came with keyboard, mouse and 1950 monitor. Had to drive 50 miles but what a good find!

I guess we're both pretty lucky. I snagged a bare A3000 just about a month ago with 1950 monitor too and lots of programming books all for $20. Dragging all of it up 3 flights of stairs was hell, especially the box of manuals and books.

Its good to have a spare around.
Amiga 3000D UP and running! Hear that clicking. 8)
Amiga 3000D & 4000D in storage sadly.

I'll post some pics. Ugh I havent had an A3000 for about ... 7 or 8 years. Going to be a fun project. I'd like to add my 3640 v3.1 card and max out the zips and do a KS 3.1. Plus all the custom chips that need updating.. and fuzzy battery..

I was going to "GRRRR...." at you and pan1k for the scores, coz I was pretty much first in line with the "benefactors" but I guess "better things come to those who wait" :-D

And as for the 3 flights of stairs Amiduff, ohhhhhh pppppppppppplease, look the "hell" I had to go through :-D

Body Count (top to bottom):

1x C= 128 (original box)

1x C= VIC 20 (original box)

2x C= PLUS/4s (original boxes)

2x C= C64C (original boxes, 1 white, 1 black)

1x C= 1541-II 5.25" floppy disk drive (original box)

1x C= 1541C 5.25" floppy disk drive (original box)

3x C= 1531 Cassette drives (original boxes)

4x C= VIC 1520 color printer/plotter (2 in original boxes, 1 in original foam, 1 loose with hacked toggle switch)

3x sets of inks/pens for above printers

2x Amiga 2000 (one has the rare A2088XT and the other is/was a show-floor model, A2000 Model-A with a pre-production rev.3.9 mobo and a "Buster tower"!)

Sweet! It was just like Christmas in the old days, AGAIN! :-)

BTW, I'm trying not to hoard, so things I have duplicate (or triplicate or any multiple or won't really use) I'll be "sharing" (or trade) with the world wide world. Europeans (and other continents) are welcome too.
