Edit...Perhaps I was a little harsh, however, the concept of my retort still stands. Nothing that has been written here would be considered offensive to a "Reasonable Person", infact, what has been included in this thread is quite pale in comparison to some other threads on this very site. And it is near invisible compared to the clap-trap that is presented on commercial TV and in popular music. If you were offended by the contents of this thread, then I suggest you are far to immature to be allowed access to any of the aforementioned media.

Just because someone has developed an interest in an antiquated computer system it suddenly makes them mature??? Hans George Cambell has a deep vested interest in Amiga's, would you call his actions mature??? Besides, how can one be "greatly impressed" when by ones own admission they have no use for their Amiga's? Bah, whats the point...

All i was saying was i thought it was odd from a post to start from the Uses of a A600 to Kinky Sex was weird.
So im sorry if you get the wrong impression.
I have set-up my A1200 again and its great part from there allways feels like there's something missing i dont know why.
Maby its because Amiga isnt mainstream AnyMore and none of my friends have a clue what a Amiga is.

Enjoy your A600 for what it is - a cute little machine. Some people have indeed done amazing things to them - because they are small and that is exactly what they wanted/needed, the form factor. For me, the absence of the numeric keypad is a big no-no which is compounded by the lack of a proper expansion slot. My advice, and it is well meant, is to add your A600 to your collection and include it in your sig. Don't spend any money on it at all - it just isn't worth it. As I have said, you should be able to transfer the hard disk from your A1200, and that probably would be the best that you could do and would indeed be worthwhile. You can direct whatever you have as a budget toward the A1200, it is a far better machine.
:)

Basically, for anything you got in mind you would need an Accelerator card. A600's are small and cute but sadly little more, even when it's one like mine.
If you want to use something advanced, get an A4000. If you want something a little less powerful, nearly as expandable and noticeably cheaper to upgrade, get an A1200 or upgrade the one you have.

Yes moonwalker was released on the amiga :-D
http://hol.abime.net/2510

As the rest of the guys said theres very little you can do with the A600 except from sound trackers, gfx packages and games. But most of these will require memory and slightly faster processor. There has been afew projects involving the A600 but these where converting them into laptops:
Suzanne
http://www.amigahistory.co.uk/suzanne.html

I had my C64 then upgraded to an Amiga A600(portal into the amiga world and I could'nt afford a A1200 way back then. And then I finally managed to get a A1200 (1 or 2 of em) and upgraded it as far as I could go(BPPC,Mediator etc etc) But I found myself using my PC for alot of graphic and model work and with the PC getting more advanced and a greater selection of software I found myself hardly touching the big box amiga, so off it went to the loft! (loft as you always regret selling your big box amigas)Only ever coming down for the odd bit of retro gaming.

I have some issues running some games on the big box Amiga so it really does spend alot of time sitting in the loft. Lately I just bought myself a desktop A1200, (while waiting on it to arrived I clicked on I had enough parts in the loft to build one doh!) and fitted afew things I've had lying about in the loft like 1084s monitor, m-tec 8mb card,2.5 hdd (2gig)I'm planning on doing the internal cd drive project to it and adding a sd card reader and I'm in heaven with the real retro feel of the system the only thing that the A600 has over the A1200 is the amount of space it takes up. The A1200 is a better gaming machine due to it support for AGA and its easy to get parts for :-D

I guess you just need to ask yourself what you want to do on your amiga!
Specs:
A1200PT, mediator c/w voodoo 3 2000, sb128, 60G HDD,OS3.9,LITEON CDR, nec 4x4 changer,External Scan Doubler,Cocolino adapter,PS2 keyboard adaptor.

Morphos 2.6, mini mac g4 @ 1.25ghz.

I had the same issue.  It takes determination to actually do it.  Now my old Amiga HD is run by Amikit and I'm finding more enjoyment than ever just puttering around.  Want to get a MiniMig next.

When I was your age I had a 500 and I made a lot of DPaint graphics with it. That was cool. A friend of mine programmed in AMOS and used my graphics.

To relive that old skool feeling I have my Amiga and nowadays am able to make some simple games in Flash like in my sig.

Had a shot at music too but I guess am not that talented ;-).
