Which serial.device to use?
« on: December 20, 2007, 12:08:55 AM »
I have read on a couple of threads that the serial.device that comes with OS 3.9 is buggy.  If this is so is there a better version on Aminet or from an older version of the OS.  Any help would be appreciated.

Have a look for Artser on Aminet, always worked well for me.

Back in the day of 7MHz A500 with a 14.4 modem, I happily used BaudBandit.device, as well as 8n1.device.  IIRC, 8n1 worked VERY well, and traveled with me to 50MHz 030.
