Amiga RGB to component video
« on: December 19, 2007, 03:11:01 PM »
I probably don't do good enough searches so I open a thread for this.

Since LCD displays with component video are coming more common, I thought that this might be one alternative to get Amiga connected to such display.

I know that there are adapters to convert RGB and VGA to component but I figure that Amiga's RGB may need some extra tweaks.

Is there any known DIY projects for Amiga?
A4000/040 3.1/3.1, 2 MB Chip, 24 MB Fast, Piccolo SD64 2MB, GVP A2000mHC+8 Rev2, 4 GB CF HD via CF IDE
A1200 3.1/3.9, Blizzard 1230MkIV 030@50 with SCSI kit, 2 MB Chip, 128 MB Fast, 1 GB CF HD via CF IDE
A600 3.1/3.1, 2 MB Chip, A603, 1GB CF HD via CF IDE

I haven't tried it myself but there's a mod for Amigas provided byNeobitz

The pricing for the chip is 80usd plus shipping and it comes already assembled (but requires some soldering to the Amiga).

Here's a Youtube Video of someone installing an S-video chip from Neobitz in an A1000

EDIT: if you want to purchase it you have to email them at
