@Piru
That's not so easy to do, considering price of PVA/MVA and how rare they are in some places.
Also, many sellers and even manufacturers don't state the type of panel at all, some even don't know.
Better sorry than worry.

Well, non-TN usually are more expensive, sure, but considering how important component the monitor is, IMHO the higher price is acceptable.

Rare? Surely not? Say BenQ FP241W are all over the place.

If they don't list such information it's a good idea to try a dealer and/or manufacturer who do.

Piru, the model "BenQ FP241WZ" costs at least 783 eur here. (over 900 eur on average)
and its not all about TN/MVA/etc, you have to consider Mura_effect,
too.

I have been using Samsung 970p for several years. maybe its got good viewing angle and so, but I can easily see the three (neon?) lamps in background when displaying what should be uniformly colored screen.
changing brightness/contrast doesn't help.

Better sorry than worry.

And it sure is worth every eurocent (was 740 when I bought mine). Note that FP241W is cheaper than FP241WZ. Z has some extra movie magic in it, I'm quite happy with the regular FP241W.

Great article there btw, explains why el cheapo monitor usually is a bad idea.
