Hello from Seattle!
« on: December 17, 2007, 02:05:37 PM »
Hey all!

Just introducing myself...recently found interest in computers from the 80's after finding a few Tandys and C64/C128's in my attic. My dad says his main computer for the longest time was an Amiga 500 but he has since sold it. Currently fishing for a 500 in good working order. I am a college student who's in need  of finding some sort hobby before his brain fries; Amigas sound like a good way to go. If any of you know of any good deals on 500's in western Washington or anywhere that ships it would be much appreciated!

-Nikolai!!

A500s are as common as water in the sea. Big chance you'll be able to find one for next to nothing. Just search your local thrift store, craigslist or ad paper.
I do have some spare A500s but they're not really useful for you since they are 230V and PAL.

Anyways: welcome! Hope you find and enjoy your Amiga!

hi Nikolai!

First welcome! Second, i was wondering if there were any Amigans from Seattle so they could verify the Amiga Kent Center ;-) It's a 30min drive or something?

Noticed anything overthere?

verify the Amiga Kent Center

Yesterday's news.... Amiga failed to deliver the cash (to everyone's surprise of course) so the city of Kent is now probably looking for another sponsor.

Hey Nik, I didn't realize you're that close...

I've got a carton of eggs... Would you mind doing a little "drive-by" ?  :roflmao:

PS. As luck would have it, as I'm writing this, guess who's gallery photo I have on the right in the "Random Photo" section?!?!? Muahahaha!

Welcome aboard !

Why don´t you try an A1200 ? A500s are really nice, but I think you will have more fun with the 1200
