c64 datassette
« on: December 11, 2007, 12:58:37 PM »
Hi

Does anyone know where I could get a cheap c64 tape player/ datassette?

Or does anyone have a spare one they would be willing to sell?

I picked up a c64 which is in mint condition but it only has one cartridge and no cassette deck.

I know its not amiga but it is commodore and this is about the only forumthat I can get on at work, so thought I would ask while I read the os4 gossip and hope that someone has found a way to run it on old macs

Anyway thanks and apologies.

What a coincidence that you should start this thread :-o

On Sunday I saw an advert in my local paper which read "Commodore 64 micro computer, with manual and games FREE TO COLLECTOR"

So I zoomed down to Hassocks and was handed a huge cardboard box.  On returning home I found the box to contain the Commodore 64, lots of games and books plus two 1530 Datassette Model C2N's.

Then my copy of OS4 arrived for my A4000 yesterday. Which do I play with?

@ swoslover

What is your location?

@ amazing

I think I need one of those 1541 diskdrives too ;-)

EDIT - @ swoslover ... If you have one from McVenco I will be able to keep one for a spare :-D

I've got 2 of those tape thingies which I don't use. You can have one for postage costs (from NL).

I live in the UK so if any of you guys dont mind sending one out I would be majorly grateful, i can confirm via pm address etc and pay postage by paypal if this is ok?

Thanks for your help, had a feeling there would be some commodore fanbois here who could help!

So stupid of me not to check the tape deck but I can play the terminator 2 cartridge and the machine is in mint condition literally looks new.
