Amiga and Commodore massive inventory on eBay
« on: December 05, 2007, 11:33:20 PM »
Before I continue, understand this is *NOT* my auction. I came across it in my travels of eBay. Normally I'd droll at the idea of buying myself, but it is in California and I am in FL.. Will not work. If someone buys it, lemme buy a few items from you  :-D

64 & More Store is for auction in it's entirety. Current bid? $152.50! Looks like this could be a steal, go for it! PM me after you buy it  :-D

I thought "get it cheap enough, rent a PODS to make the move..."  Seemed simple enough.  $4500 to move it that way.

I was thinking along similar lines. Buy it, take a week off, fly to California, rent a uHaul one way, drive back to FL myself. But doing quick back of the envelope calculation and figuring using vacation time, it just can't be justified.

Man so kicking myself, this is the kind of thing I love to do go through a ton of old computer gear.

Wrong country! There must be some computer store down here that someone wants to unload for that sort of cash???? :D

If I was near by I'd chip in some cash and jump at the chance for a road trip to go pick it all up :)

Maybe if I win big on this weeks lotto I'll resign and buy a ticket :D

I use to shop at this store, They had everything with Commodore and Amiga.  I bought items when it was a store, they had many software titles and many type of 64, 128 500 etc...
I have been looking because I live in San Diego and not sure to bid on it or not.  I have a truck but that's a lot of items.  I want the hardware more than the software.  They had a good repair person at this store who work on my A2000.  They had it on a bid already once before, not sure what happen but it fail through, it was up to $2000 plus.  The high bider at this time has bought from him before?  I need help what should I do?  I have seen the items, and when they say in original wrap, I know they are telling the truth.

I'd say bid, you might get it for a good price. Plus you sort of know what the goods are like so you have the added avantage of knowing what you are bidding on.

Although the pictures and youtube stuff gave me a rough idea of the amount of stuff.

Man.. still kicking myself. All that stuff would keep me busy for months sorting through it.

Nothing beats digging through boxes of stuff looking for a hidden treasure or two :)

hahahaha:

"Q:     You may wanna restart your auction as you have started at $50.00 instead of the $5000.00 that your auction description said. P.S. Can I have a free A1200 w/at least an 030 accelerator and 64MB RAM for pointing this out and saving you from possibly losing thousands more than you may already lose. Please? :D    Dec-03-07

A:     No, I want the auction to be $50. I really have to get rid of this stuff. The $5000 was a leftover from the last auction. Nice try though Paul"

some guys do have no manners or plenty of nerve to beg for free stuff doing nothing.
