Just pulled one of these from an A2000 and I am not sure if I will keep and use it, or if I will sell/auction it.  If $250 is a laughable amount, what amount is reasonable?

How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

Dang. I wish mine worked right. it's got a bad pin on a chip somewhere (I suspectbut don't know for sure) and has a little signal noise in the picture.

I sold the ICD Flicker Free 2 to Hamtronix a few months back for $75.00 which I thought was a fair price for it. I know it worked great for me and I'm hoping it did for Hamtronix as well. The Flicker Free 2 is supposedly a better unit than the first but I don't recal all of the details at the moment.

@amigadave

It is probably worth keeping if you are pondering what to do with it. These items will be harder to get hold of as time passes plus I think this will work with genlocks and toaster boards whereas a microway flicker fixer or similar won't since it takes up the video slot.

Just my thoughts.

They usually sell for around $100, if it's the second version which is a little better (less artifacting).

I bought my FFV2 from a place in Tacoma WA and I think it was about $200 or $250 new back in the day. I'm not saying that should have any bearing on what they sell for now though.

I have both the FFV and the FFV2 and they work great. I sometimes wonder if the Workbench screen output of the FFV2 doesn't even look better that the A3000's Amber circuitry.

You know it is really supply and demand. The ones that say its too much could just not have the money to purchase it.

The only reason why I do not have the worldwide location listed is simply because I have never shipped ebay items outside of the US, certainly nobody wants to get taken advantage of (seller/buyer).

So how to ship, via Express Mail International so there is proof the item was delivered in case someone wants to play games? What to look out for etc.

There is interest on the item, frankly if I didnt have the item I would be drooling too, pain on the neck to have to plug and unplug monitors, etc.

Recently someone offered me double of that cash for my ICD. The point is, that it is not only a scandoubler/flickerfixer but the ONLY one that totally fits into the original A500 case. This makes it very interesting for A500 extreme modders.

By the way: I did not sell mine. Though the money was very tempting the chance of ever getting one is slim (in fact this is the first I ever see beside my onwn) to be sold in my whole Amiga live (about 15 years+)
Not really interesting, but it`s there.
