You can't plug a graphics card into the 1260 either.

A Blizzard 1260 card has only a 68060 processor on it whilst a PPC card has both a 680x0 series CPU and a PowerPC CPU on it. These two families of processors are closely related but have largely incompatible instruction sets. Thus you cannot run 680x0 code on a PowerPC CPU and vice versa. The Phase5 cards that have PPC on them as well as 680x0 CPUs used to have a very expensive spare CPU on them that was used for very little apart from the odd jpeg datatype until OS4. Now the PPC part becomes the main processor of OS code which before was the 68040 or 68060 CPU. (Me wishes I had enough cooling and money to own a PPC Blizzard card ))

@wa9yoz

The graphics card in question is called a BlizzardVision, it uses the Permedia 2 chipset, has 8MB ram and 3D capabilities.  Unfortunatley they don't come up for sale very often.

The other alternative is to use a Mediator 1200 with a Voodoo 3, though you'll need the A1200 in a tower case for this.

OS4 doesn't require a graphics card to run though some software that opens a Picasso 96 screen won't work.

Blizzard ppc can also allow the use of GREX Pci buss board that has greater transfere rate than the Mediator .. Also the BPPC has support for 256mb "2 simms" ram with out buying aditional scsi kit , Some BPPC cards came with SCSI onboard ...

@adonay

Note that GREX won't work with OS4.

Mediator 1200 with a Voodoo 3

Note that Mediator won't work with MorphOS.
