AmigaOS 4.0 for Classic Amiga available now!!!!!!!!

I have a nice collection of classic Amiga's also ranging from the 1000 all the way to the A4000T and not one of them has the hardware needed to run OS4.0. Nevertheless I also pre-ordered my copy from Amigakit.

Hopefully someone will come up with a way to either make this version run on other hardware, or create new available hardware that it will run on.

For your own sake, it's kinda more practical to have one single topic so those interested (not me, yet congrats) have all comments gathered in one place.

Not for us, the users.
We will have to wait for the likes of Amigakit etc to send them on.
Released on a Friday, so can't see them being sent out until Monday.
Another couple of days after that, before we get our hands on it.  :-(

by 1 day to go i mean it will be available to order/buy and not how long amigakit or the postman will take to send it to you... you get it?

I know I am going to get flamed for this, but for other than those that have friends who suffered long and hard to create OS4, or those that are lovers of Hyperion (no matter what information has come out in the litigation), why would anyone want to buy OS4 when a very similar product has been available for many months for free?

Does Hyperion deserve my support after all this time and after all the lies (my perception) on both sides of the Amiga Inc. fight?

I just don't understand the fanatic purchases by some that can't even run OS4? :-?

maybe i took it wrong but sorry for this it wasnt my intention to irritate anyone. i see now your a little impatient and that is understandable, its aos4.0 after all and the wait have been long for the classic

you have your morphos good for you. we other want aos4.0 good for us, end of story, peroid!

To some it may be seen as some sort of trophy or collectors piece.  People collect all sorts of things that they can't or don't use.

i cant use it right now but if i get my hands on a bppc card or newer ppc cards, that will be made later on. it will be usefull...

but for now i buy it for the cool factor, the collection, the support and i can throw it in the face of the disbelievers and tell them "i told you so".. hahaha...  :-D

Agreed! I'm buying it partly as a trophy that says I've been a faithful Amigan for years. Had it never been released I would have felt insulted and made a sucker out of  :-)
