Amiga 1000 schematics in large format
« on: November 25, 2007, 08:52:58 AM »
Anyone familiar with this particular item?  I have a box here that's about 2"x2" and a little over 24" long, and contained within is a set of Amiga 1000 schematics in 24x36 format, marked with "Cardinal International."  Anyone ever see these before?

What kind of schematics?  Mechanical?  Electronic circuits?  Logic circuits?  Perhaps a photo or two if you don't know...

Circuit schematics.  Similar to what you would find in the Amiga manuals.

Sorry for the blurry images; my camera did not want to auto-focus on the page.  Even so, you should get the idea.

These schematics have been in their roll box since I got them about 10 years ago now.  They rarely see the light of day.  However, I noticed that about eight moves have not been too friendly.  A customer has a large format scanner that I will take advantage of to make permanent copies for posterity.

I used to have a set of those, back in the day. I seem to recall they were made by someone tracing out the motherboard... the official manuals weren't available to the users, unless you knew a service shop. I sold my set a long time ago.... but since in the meantime, I became a service guy, I could get the "official" set.

Edit: Here's an ad from a 1986 AmigaWorld... I couldn't find a review.
