Don't worry, the sun roof is closed (special darkening curtain), and those 500's (and everything in de middle of the floor) is going to McVenco and Darule. (they bought it, I keep it in storage temporarily)

And when I have picked up my part of the pile at Tahoe's (it's "only" a few A2000s and A500s, the rest is Tahoe's own collection :-) ), I will put a decent amount of TLC into my collection (making clean and working machines from all of them), and then sell a lot of it (I think I'll keep 4, 5 Amigas max.).

But I doubt that any of those miggies I'll be selling will go to new or returning Amigans. Most of them probably will go to someone else with quite a few Amigas.... :-)

But I agree with leirbag. I will have some 15 or 16 Amigas when I pick up the stuff at Tahoe. And that, indeed, is WAY too much for one single person

Thats just f$%^&*& insane.

have you seen the prices of the RiscOS PC's? thats just about as wacky.

what about amstrad folks ? They have an excellent kick ass OS which will put most 32 bit OS'es to shame ...

also atari folks have some excellent hardware (060 + SDRAM + PCI expansion possibility). But what are they running on this ? does anyone know if they have a decent OS ? CSS compatible webbrowser ?

G3 with MacOS9: abandoned, browser choices much worse than Amiga.

Eh? Mozilla 1.3.1, Internet Explorer 5.5. Please tell me which Amiga browser is better than either of those.

Really? When items start selling for more than they cost new, then you are in a wacky phase. The CyberstormPPC 060 sold new for more than that. A measly $1000 - I paid that for my 68040 WarpEngine! :(

What I understood the OP asked was which vintage platform was the most expensive not which type or users are craziest.

I would think the Amiga is the craziest cost but then again Atari ST a very very close call too. (with regards to their TT030, STE and Falcon machines)

Atari 8 bits and C=64/128 are CHEAP to get into.  Maybe a C=65 or 128D will cost a few hundred or more, but for the most part are very inexpensive to get into.

This is very close : (I just love it, tons of files)

I don't know about a Super CPU equivalent, but you can get a Sprinter. And there where loads of other Russian clones with tons of features. What about the SAM Coupé ? That was really nice.

@ AmiGR

I suppose it's a matter of opinion.  My G3 has IE 5.5 and Netscape (whatever the last compatible version was).  Very often images won't dispay, sites stop loading and insist that I upgrade the browser.  Both browsers seem to just give up at any provication.  Maybe I need to learn to setup this software better.

On the otherhand, those same sites usually load very well in iBrowse 2.4.  I probably don't frequent the most demanding sites (I use the net as an encyclopedia, not much for entertainment), but, except for those that rely heavily on the latest flash, I've never seen iBrowse just give up.
I think Amigans are lucky to have the browsers we do have.

How does Mozilla compare to IE and Netscape?
