Amiga spotted on Bones series 3 episode 7
« on: November 14, 2007, 05:58:42 PM »
Just watching this episode and they have an amiga which is meant to be from 1987.
It seems to be a black a1200 sitting ontop of some 5.25 drives. running a doom type game that is a bit out of place.

I thought it was quite funny.

It would be really cool if someone were able to take some screen grabs and post pics of this.

It's sitting on top of an old IBM XT 8088 CPU.

What's with it being black?  Bizarre.  Especially if they wanted it to be recognizable as an Amiga (as mentioned in the dialogue).

Looks like whoever designed that prop had some Amiga experience, because the "interface" they designed to load the games is either actually running on Workbench, or is a mock-up animation that looks pretty good.

Sweet... looks like it's sitting on the old 8088 I have buried in the garage somewhere :p (with a 20-something year old Seagate that still works)

Is that a typo on your part or did she really say "6800"?

Heh, Hollywood! I'd guess the 6800 isn't his typo :-)
