Pinball Dreams and others
« on: November 13, 2007, 04:25:39 AM »
I been updating my A3000T with my old games and would like to put Pinball Dreams and Fantasy onto my Harddrive.  I installed WHDload and installed about 10 games. It works great and I'll send the money, before I have to buy or locate real copies of the games I would like to know if Digital Illuision gave the games away?  I thought the games were on there web page at one time.  Also this is message is coming to you via A3000T.  I don't want to steal the games, but if they are free it will save me money for other amiga things.

They are on www.back2roots.org. You can download them legally and for free, but I doubt they will work from HDD, since most of the games on BTTR are cracked copies which cannot be installed by WHDLoad.

KillerGorilla's WHDLoad site has them, but the packs are about 60 MB. Weren't they on Aminet CDs, too? Then I should have them.

Hi Mike,

A quick google search and found this page http://jffabre.free.fr/amiga/patches.html seems to have installers.

Ben.

Installers, yes, but you still need the original disks to create the WHDLOAD installed game.

Im pretty sure that back2roots has the HDD files for the games, as well as the cd32 isos.  Both of which will work with whdload

Almost forgot but everyone should know that Amiga Future is available in English also - and there are legal downloads, amongst them for instance this:

Thanks for the information, if it works great.  If not I'll buy them someplace.

Pfft.. The games in question are about 15 years old, and haven't been available to purchase for over a decade. Who gives a s**t.

Presumably the OP, since he said he doesn't want to steal them. That's why I pointed out that they are illegal. Also, regardless of your personal point of view, endorsement of piracy is against the posting guidelines of this site.

In my opinion and im sure most others as well, it's not piracy if the product in question is no longer available for purchase.

You can't steal software that can't be bought.
