What type of cyberstorm is this?

I have this cyberstorm ppc card. Could anybody tell me what the specs are please :D

It's a Cyberstorm MK3 - no PPC capabilities.

its very confusing because it says Cyberstorm PPC Carda/keller/knabel/zhang on the back. Anyways thanks guys. Btw has anybody got the url of that Phase 5 site collecting serial numbers?

Cant these cards be upgradedd, im sure ive read of people doing this, or is that just adding the PPC dev board ?

 The boards looks the very same to me (except one of them have a PPC CPU in it).

 BUT I think the logic on the board is not the same. So is useless put a PPC CPU on the board only to see it not working.

I also have one of those boards, and when I did a web search a couple of months ago when the OS4 news came out, I found a claim from Phase5 that they could not be modified to accept a PPC. Right now, I can't seem to find the reference.

So, maybe it would be easier to just ask if anyone knows if it has been done successfully.

IIRC, I read that it COULD NOT be upgraded to include a working PPC.  I doubt you will find anyone that has successfully completed the addition of a PPC CPU to that card.

maybe motorollin meant you could upgrade it by buying certain other ppc computer and several coders with it to do the porting   ;-)

Hmm, my understanding was that the card was basically a CSPPC without the PPC. If this is true, then it would be logical to assume that the missing PPC components could be added to a MKIII. Perhaps the source which stated that the MKIII and CSPPC are the same card was mistaken.

The MK III and the CSPPC share the same PCB design like the Blizzard 1240 and 1260. Anyway the process of fitting the components might involve cutting some line for the MKIII version and others for the CSPPC Version.

Even if it would be possible it sure would cost more then selling the MKIII and trying to get a CSPPC even with the hillarious prices they go for today.

It IS theoretically possible to upgrade it...

However, looking at my CSPPC and MKIII side by side there is quite a lot of small components that need adding and a few resistors probably need changing...
You'd probably destroy the board doing that amount of work to it...

 The barring problem is: how to solder a BGA style CPU in the card when it is fully populated?

 To solder a BGA component you have to heat the board until the Sn+Pb compound melt, then apply the chip. But doing that you loose any other component over the board!

 So, it's impossible!
