How can I convert mp3 audio to an IFF file (to use in OctaMED)?
« on: November 11, 2007, 08:34:47 AM »
I am using an Amiga Forever emulator on my Windows XP to use OctaMED Professional v3.0 (downloaded from: http://amr.abime.net/issue_595_coverdisks).

I have audio samples in mp3 format and I would like to use them in OctaMED. As far as I can see, the format that I can use is IFF.

I have looked everywhere for a file converter but all I could find was conversion to AIF, which doesn't seem to work in OctaMED.

I know OctaMED and am comfortable using it, so I wouldn't want to change to another music editor.

If possible, I would like to know how to convert from mp3 to any file format that OctaMED can use. Please help.

Thankyou.

Use Sox, can be found from Aminet. Also, discard V3 and try to find Octamed V4. V4 was the best version of the OctaMED series.
