Pegasos motherboard questions
« on: July 12, 2003, 08:41:03 PM »
I just recieved my peggy, bought a case and a whole bunch of other stuff...the only problem is how do I power it up???  There is no provision on the motherboard that lets you hook up the power button on the case to the motherboard, therefore, I cannot turn on the system?

or am I overlooking something?

There should be a piece of paper included that helps you on that ...

In the front area you will fin d 4 connectors for ribbon-cables,
2 for IDE, 1 for floppy and one whis is misused as fronpanel.

The lowest 2 pins are pwr-on, followed by reset and the LEDs.
1. Make an announcment.
2. Wait a while.
3. Check if it can actually be done.
4. Wait for someone else to do it.
5. Start working on it while giving out hillarious progress-reports.
6. Deny that you have ever announced it
7. Blame someone else

This isn't the first thread about this. I had similar issues. Check this out.

Only paper documentation that came with pegasos (thus you should have it too) is sinlge paper describing all necessary connectors on board. If you ain't got that paper look from CD:  (Mos 1.3) .. it'll has same info on PDF files.

on DOCS/AUDIO.PDF are pinouts for audio connectors
and DOCS/FRONTPAN.PDF are pinouts for front panel connector...

And I seem to remember that this same info was available on net, but can't remember where...

@TheMagicM

If you have any more questions, you are free to visit #morphos on arcnet.  us1.arcnet.vapor.com  Usually, there is always someone there willing to help.  I put a direct webchat interface up on MorphZone for getting to the channel (after logging in the box appears on the right).  After that, a single click logs you into the system (Really helpful if you are on  a friends computer, or a computer from work...)  Personally, I prefer AmIRC :-)
Regards,
Targhan
