Must Have Software
« on: October 30, 2007, 12:41:20 PM »
Now OS4 is on the way for classic owners there could be a group of people in the same boat as myself.
I am keen to try OS4 but have no idea about what's available for it software wise.
Perhaps we could use this thread to startup a list of OS4 software that users think is a must.
Maybe add a brief explanation as to what it does.

grr double posting to aw and a.org at the same time  :madashell:

tbh if you are buying it for software availability you are mad, it does more than a classic miggy by playing dvd's and flash vids but other than that it does what any classic miggy does.
Murk Lore :)

Also on Amigans so it's a triple posting.
I know not everyone visits all three sites so I am covering my bets so to speak.
FroggerNG already plays DVDs so that leaves only flash so far.
was hoping for a bit more than that.

Well judging by the lack of response from the OS4 crowd (All two of them), it's not worth getting my hands on OS4.
Ah well that's £60 quid save then.

we might have tons of users and hardware and software to utilize on a cool ops system...

Oil well I guess we will have to wait till hardware/software come avail..

At least os4.0 will be here so the boing ball is in the right direction i fear slowwwwwwww going tho for us all...

Well one of the main reasons I bought my CSPPC about 5 years ago was so that I would be able to run OS4, so I'm definately gonna buy it and have a play if I can :-)

it doesn't matter because classic Amigas are not fast enough to play DVDs or DivX.

Amidogs Movie Player could play DVDs, as long as a SCSI drive was used. It was Amiga IDE implementations that were not fast enough.
