Amiga 3000T and A1000
« on: October 26, 2007, 02:14:17 AM »
I have an Amiga 3000T and an Amiga 1000 I'm willing to sell to the highest bidder.

I'm not sure what these machine are worth these days so I'll trust your opinion on that until I look around the marketplace some more.

Let me know if you are interested asap.

There is software and a few other bits of hardware with the A1000.

Thanks.

I....must....resist.....the....urge.....to....buy....more....Amigas!

The A3000T is a highly prized model, some would even say it is the best Amiga ever manufactured, so it should bring a good price.  It will help if you list the location, and exact details of each machine.  Are there any expansion cards in the A3000T?  Does it have a full complement of RAM on the motherboard?  Is it clean and shiny white or beige, or does it have a lot of yellowing due to age and sun damage?  Are the keyboard and mouse included?  What about monitors?  Is any software included?  What Kickstart ROM is installed in the A3000T?  What size hard drive is installed?

As you can see there are dozens of questions that need to be answered to determine the value of your equipment.

Welcome to Amiga.org!
How are you helping the Amiga community? :)

I thought you were in the Amiga selling mode, not ready to buy more?  I am tempted, but will restrain myself after looking at the bank balance this month.

I won't make any rude remarks about hoarding A3000T's but . . .

Everyones drolling over the 3000T but I'd want the 1000.  However, my spare $$$ is going to a MiniMig atm.

First off sorry for the lack of response on this post. I had my notify off by accident.

I'm in Toronto, Ontario, Canada

The A1000 is in good shape. There's a few expansion boxes, a HD case and some other attachments as well as an expansion card in it. It's been so long I don't remember all the details. I can take pictures if you like. It never saw any sunlight and is in pretty good shape. The signatures are also on the inside of the top lid if that means anything. I also have a bunch of software and manuals that go with it. The original Amiga monitor is still with it.

The 3000T is in great shape. It's still in it original box too. It's never seen direct sunlight so there's no fading. I used it for a year or two. It's been in it's box since 1996 or so. I had it out to take a picture for another interested Amiga fan and the MB battery is clean with no leakage or rust. It's loaded with the full 16MB of RAM. I added a second 120MB HD and there's an emplant MAC emulator in it and a Spectrum 24-bit graphic card in it as well. I think that's all I did to it. The Keyboard and mouse are still there too. No monitor. Not sure about the Kickstart ROM, whatever came with it I guess. The software is mostly graphic and 3D stuff.

Too bad there wasn't an Amiga museum, the 3000T would be a good contender.

Let me know what you think of all this and if you need any more info.

Any idea what these machines are worth?

For the record, they all have them.. Just in case someone wonders.

I bought an A3000T some 2 months ago for €575, but if you throw it on Ebay it could very well fetch €750 if it is indeed in perfect shape. These machines are highly sought after and indeed (IMHO) one of the best Amigas ever made (I'm a real 3000 fan).

As for the A1000: I guess this could go up to some €200-€250 if it's got some add-ons and when it's in good shape.

If you want top money go for Ebay, but if you want to leave it to a really good home and catch a few bucks less, sell it to one of the amiga.org members (not to BinoX - he has enough Amigas already )
