AGA and SVGA monitor
« on: July 10, 2003, 08:26:36 PM »
Hello, I'm usign Amiga as is written in signature ;). I don't have mediator, so I can't install any good gfx card :(. When I'll get some money I'll buy it...but...
Now I'm using my SVGA Sony E220 17" monitor, I'm using EURO72 Productivity driver, which gives me up to 640x400x8bit...this resoliution is too small ;(...I was trying to use DBLPAL but refresh rate is very low ;( ~59Hz... Maybe there is a way to reach higher resoliutions than 640x400? Thank You!

ps. sorry for my English...I'm from Lithuania... ;)
My Amiga: A1200, BlizzardPPC 603e+ 175MHz 040/25MHz, 64MB Ram, AGA 2MB Chip, WD 80GB, CD-RW Teak 8x/8x/32x, CD-ROM Teak 32x. Everything is in Infinitive tower case. Sony E220 17\\" monitor, Logitech keyboard, mouse.

I know this might seem like a stupid question, but are you using a scan doubler / flicker fixer?

maybe magictv is a good thing for u ? i used this when i had no gfx card...but only 16 colors wb then...., hmm or was it 32....i dont remeber..sorry.
should be on aminet.
(atleast then NO flicker)

pps:mediator is a good choice , if u want a normal a1200 pci version then u should check amibench.com etc for second hand stuff (might be cheap) ... but i would say...go for sx model...

hmmm and i am pretty sure i used 800x600 on my old amiga microvitec monitor.... check for screenmode hacks on aminet...
Whats up with all the hate!

I use DBLNTSC in 704 X 467 it´s a lot better than DBLPAL (no flicker, larger wb).
