Using EasyADF Transfer Kit (Advice needed)
« on: October 18, 2007, 05:41:59 PM »
Hi,

When using EasyADF PCMCIA Compact Flash Transfer Kit, once the adapter has been slotted into the PCMCIA on the Amiga do you then put the EasyADF Floppy disk into the amiga?

Has anyone done this using the above sofware? I'm very keen to find out how the process works and how the amiga will read the flash card.

From the Amigakit web site:

Quote
Supplied with Amiga software on floppy disk and instructions. Amiga software includes EasyADF - a quick and easy tool to make or uncompress ADF and ADZ images. Additionally EasyADF can also uncompress LHA archives. EasyADF is ideal for creating ADF images for use with Amiga Forever and WinUAE.

You do not necessarily need a hard disk to use this adapter- the floppy disk supplied is a stand-alone boot disk as well as being a hard disk installation disk.

So yes, it would appear that you put the floppy disk in and boot from it, or install the software from it if you have a hard disk.

It adds a few things to your Amiga. One of them is a driver for the CF card and the other is a windows95 filesystem reader for FAT. Works very well!
