Just thought I'd bring your attention to this company in the UK:

I bought an A1200 and an Apollo Accelerator from them at around 2001 as a treat. It came boxed and have all the WB discs and Magic Pack. Looking at their prices, an A1200 Magic Pack is a heck of a lot cheaper than a certain Amiga Specialist which is still around today.

About two months ago, I emailed them to enquire if they had any stock left, but nobody answered. If anybody has any contact with the company, please spread your success stories!

Hi,

I had my first A4K desktop upgraded about 7 years ago by Analogic and they did a good job.

Kind Regards, Michael

I had a board from them back in 98, it never worked.

I doubt they've actually got the boards in stock anyway.
Restraining orders are just another way of saying I love you!

Had problems buying a board from them in the past.
Took my money quick enough but had to wait a while for said board, many excuses.
Finally turned up but was dead.
Many more months waiting for a replacement but just more excuses.
Saw the board elswhere, so asked for my money back.
More excuses no sign of my money.
Phone calls not returned, faxes ignored.
Finally just spent a day harrasing the receptionist with constant calls, until she gave in and insisted that the company owners pay back my money and get me off her back.

They also charge £300 for an Atari STE. What a rip off, who would pay £300 for 1992 technology?

I heard stories in the past that a lot of the amiga hardware they had was badly refurbished stuff and that the customer service isnt all too good

My personal experience. I got a Squirrel off them and it took a few weeks to arrive but did arrive and worked fine until I upgraded to 060 and discovered that the 060 software on the disk didnt work.

I then tried to get an Apollo 060 card off them but I kept getting told they had none but were expecting them in a week and they would send it out. They never did get any and even stopped advertising them. I ended up going somewhere else and getting it cheaper

I think this thread was what I expected, but wasnt what I hoped for from the title - I imagined that someone in the UK had tooled up for a production run of accelerators. I'd go for anything better than this (I have the 25MHz version - it only accepts a solitary 8MB SIMM), and pay reasonable money for it.

STs still seem to have a big following in music due to the midi capabilities. It's like the sitch with A4000s a few years ago when video companies still absolutely relied on them for toastering.
