Yeah Space Taxi is a great game. I like the original C64 version and Andreas Spreen's Amiga remake.

Just played it for the first time yesterday. It's a very good game indeed.

I don't think I played that one on C=64 or Amiga.  Sounds like a fun idea though.

I just noticed this Space Taxi 2 page.  I'll download and have a play later.  Can anyone here compare it to the original or the Amiga remake?

Good good study, day day up!

I tried that one but I didn't like it. The Amiga and C64 versions are much better.

That WAS a great game! It's gotta be something like 10 years since I played it. Seems to be a distant memory now - didn't your taxi blow up at some point? Probably a timer involved in there somewhere... :-)

Loved Space Taxi!  Played that on the ol C64 back in the day, and even messed around with it and Forbidden Forest on the latest C64 emulators.

I love it when your taxi hits the person you are supposed to pick up and they would yell out... "HEY!".

@Anthomatic

I don't remember exploding, unless I ran into a wall, tried to land without the landing gear (or deploying them too low), or running out of gas too high up to land safely.

One cool thing I remember doing was getting through the growing stalk stage before the other pads grew out enough for the guy to ask to go to one of them rather than to "up". That was fun times.

@Anthomatic
Well IIRC you didn't just explode after a time, but there were MANY other ways to die :) Running out of fuel, hitting a wall, etc. Man, I love Space Taxi!!! I have both Amiga and C-64 versions, but I actually like the C-64 version better.....
