How to add a real HD to the GoldenGate 486?
« on: October 03, 2007, 05:55:11 PM »
Hello!

I am currrently using 2 amiga partitions as HD's with the gg486, but I want to use a dedicated HD... so I connected one on the GG486, and on it's "BIOS" I put as drive E "HD-auto GoldenGate" ... on the boot screen it displays "IDE: Installed"
I even put the HDT.SYS driver in config.sys and it reports: "additional DOS drives E - E"
I make a HDFORMAT IDE and it verifies OK the drive...
- BUT -
the drive does not appear on FDISK! going to E: produces an "invalid drive specification"
how can the HD be seen fully? what am I missing?
The HD in question is an IBM 1.7GB one ( 3308cyl/16heads/63sectors , also I did not find a way to add this info manually on gg bios...)
any help?
thanks!  :-)
