SupraDrive SCSI cable?

Hello. I've gotten a SupraDrive SCSI interface with a 37 pin connection on the back. Here's what it looks like:

Unfortunately, I only have the sidecar, not the drive and cable. Anyone know anything about the cable? Is it the "standard" 37 pinout you find shown on the web, like

or something more exotic?

What SCSI chip is used in it? Can you take a sharp picture of the innards?

You could find the datasheet of the chip and then trace the pinout with a multimeter.

There is no official 37pin SCSI standard, so I wouldn't use the Procomp pinout without checking it first.

Contact www.redmondcable.com  to find out what's what. They sell any cable there is. If they can't buy 'em, they make 'em. They actually list some Amiga cables.
I've dealt with this firm for years - they always have come through! Prices aren't bad either.

As to the controller chip it's a National Semiconductor
DP5380N, and as to Redmond Cable, I submitted a request
to see if they had anything or knew anything.

The beast is working, at least to the extent that
SupraTools detects its presence. I'll see what develops.

Hi. I responded to Jope on the other board, but for
the record I'll post my findings here, in case anyone
is curious. I checked the IC specs and looked at the
traces on the board. The rightmost 25 pins on the
connector are a standard db25 SCSI, and the left
are: bottom 6 pins to ground, top 6 pins to something
else, I assume to power the external enclosure.

Good to know - you can probably wiggle in a standard 25 pin connector then.  :roll:

Progress report: I snipped one side of the shield off
of a 25pin straight-through cable and was able to use it
as an adapter to a 2Gig drive mounted in an
enclosure. I've been able to get only about 500k formatted on
the drive using the Supra tools to set up the partitions,
but it seems to work quite nicely.
I'll work next on getting more capacity and getting
the thing to auto-boot, but it definitely seem
to have worked out.
