Voodoo exhaust fan
« on: September 25, 2007, 03:25:11 PM »
Hi all,
Just been looking on Amigakit at the Voodoo exhaust fan.
Are there many of you out there that has got this device?

Becauue I notice that my Amiga 1200 in my Powertower after about 2 hours plays up with the heat. (well I think its that)

So would that be a good enough thing to buy do you think, I do have a 3" fan that I can fit into the case but so far have not done it.
I want to use my Amiga for more than 2 hours at a time before it starts to play up.

I do know it gets very hot after a time, bye the way I use a Mediator board.

TIA,

Mike.

Voodoo cards can generate a fair amount of ambient heat, so one of these could be useful. You can never have too much cooling, especially if you're already experiencing stability problems.

Well I tired this, I took the outer case off and it ran for a lot longer about 7 /8 hours before it played up on me so I do know its a heat issue.

But I don`t really want to keep the outer case off unless I really need to.

My Amiga is under my table top near my feet it don`t get kicked or any thing like that, its just that I prefer to keep the outer case on.

The best way to fix this issue is adding a fan to the Voodoo heatsink.

Of course, you can help it a little adding an exhaust fan...
Goodbye people.

I\'ll pop on from time to time, RL is acting up.
