How to edit text files in Workbench?

Quick and easy question: how can I edit a mountlist text file in Workbench 3.0?

I only have the standard WB 3.0 disks, no other software.

Just go to the Command Line Interface, and CD to the directory the file is in, and type ED

Or, within WB, he could click icons until he finds one for ed. :-P

Just in case, I think it's not capitalized. Isn't Amiga case sensitive?

Does WB 3.0 not have emacs? I don't remember if it came on the disks. I'm pretty sure 1.3 had it, even though I ever used it. :-)

the Ed command is in the dir "C", where items generally has no icons ;-)

BTW simply typing this line have to work:

C:Ed Devs:DOSDrivers/-devicename-

or

C:Ed Devs:Mountlist

It depends from the availability of the needed device info, as some are available independently in the DOSDrivers folder, some are merged together into the Mountlist file...
