Leaving Amiga Scene and will be selling stuff
« on: September 10, 2007, 04:27:33 PM »
Hi all,

I am thinking I will be leaving the Amiga scene shortly due to my working 80hrs. or so a week and then the off time from work I have other projects going. I just don't have the time or room either to keep all of my collection of stuff I do have.

I will start putting the stuff up here first in a couple of weeks and if I don't sell I will probably do Ebay. I do have PayPal and also would do money orders for those that don't like PayPal. Buyer will pay all actual shipping charges and yes I will send items worldwide but overseas you must pay with PayPal.

A quick list of what will be offered (might change, I am inclined to maybe hang onto the Mirage Pro and one CSMKIII)

1- 2500 without accel. board standard 68000 cpu 1mb ECS

1- 3000D with 3640 accel. 2mb chip 8mb fast 50mb scsi
1- 3000D stock 030 16mhz 2mb chip 8mb fast 1.2gb scsi

1- 4000D with 3640 2mb chip 16mb fast

1- 4000 Mirage Pro with 3640 and Mediator which includes voodoo 5500, sound blaster 128, fast ehternet. install CD and box for Mediator busboard.

2- CSMKIII 060 one with 128mb the other 64mb

Various boards, chips, HD floppy drives, and Toaster boards. I will be clearing out basically everything.

I'll take a 3000. Preferably the one with the accelerator. PM me with some idea of what you are looking for.

@amesie2

Hang on to at least one of them, preferbly the best specced system.  If you still haven't the time/interest in a few years from now you will still be able sell it via these forums or Ebay.

I still regret selling some of my own Amiga gear which I thought I no longer wanted.

Got any monitors to sell? I know they are burdensome/costly to ship, but I keep striking out in my efforts to find a 1080 or 1084 or 1942 or 1950 or NEC3D or any such thing at the local thrift shops! Got way more Amigas than monitors right now.

Thanks anyway. The way it's going, I'll be back to hooking Amigas to TVs via composite the way I did my A500 back in 1987 while saving up for a 1084. LOL!

There are quite often Amiga monitors in eBay (I know - but it is an answer). Do you check Craigslist in your area?

Do you have any HD floppy drives for the A3000?  Mine died recently and I haven't been able to find a replacement.  Or, do either of your A3000s have one installed?  I'd be willing to consider a complete system if the price was right.
Time to move on.  Bye Amiga.org.  :(

Thanks. My A4000 and a few other items were eBay finds. Great news is that during my lunch hour today I scored an Amiga-branded 1080 monitor locally and in perfect shape. :)

@all

I appreciate the feedback and will come up with pricing by Mon. hopefully. I have alot of stuff I need to sort through and see exactly what I do have to get rid of. I think that I will maybe have to keep the Mirage Pro and possibly one of the 3000D's.

I just purchased a 4000D motherboard with a toaster 4000 from ebay last week which hasn't arrived yet. I also just purchased a PicassoIV that I was going to use in the Mirage Pro or in one of the 3000D's (this also hasn't arrived yet).

I am certainly on the fence here and think if I get rid of all my Amiga stuff I will want more again one day at a very high cost probably. I also feel that UAE does a very good job of emulating a real Amiga which is maybe all I need.

I will try to have a list compiled by Mon.(I can work through the weekend on this) with pricing. I do have quite a few chips (mainly 3000 stuff), several 3000D motherboards that are best for parts or possibly repair.

Thank you
