Can I connect an IDE CDROM to an A1200 with this?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PCMCIA-to-IDE-Adapter-Adaptor-for-2-5-hard-disk-drive_W0QQitemZ280147591254QQihZ018QQcategoryZ96913QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Its less expensive than a squirrel, for a start ....

Anyway, can that be used as a pcmcia connector for an IDE CD-ROM drive? Obviously the drive has to be powered by other means, and a 2.5 to 3.5 cable adapter would be needed.

I wouldn't have thought it'd be possible, as there's no driver for it on the Amiga.

In all honesty I'd put a wanted advert on Amibench if you're looking for a squirrel, they sell for far too much money on Ebay sometimes.

Well, it's a 16-bit card so there's no reason why it *couldn't* be made to work. But Robert17 is correct, without drivers it is useless.
