Selling up. Whats it worth?
« on: September 02, 2007, 11:07:27 PM »
Well, after much deliberation, I have finally come to the conclusion that it is time to sell up. I have been waiting for a long time now (too long) for the promised hardware upgrades, (Dragon) and I don't think I will ever see it now.

I am going to rebuild my 1200 to a sellable spec and am wondering what it would be worth if I put it on eBay.

Spec will be:

A1200 in full tower case.
Apollo 040/40 64Mb RAM
Mediator
Voodoo 5500 - 64Mb
Spider USB - with registered software
100Mb network card
Soundblaster sound card
Fast ATA card
20 Gb Hard drive
6 Gb Hard drive
CD Burner
CD Rom
Floppy drive
Keyboard adapter
External SD/FF mounted internally
Home made monitor switch to switch between native and GFX card
Front panel mounted USB slot
Keyboard
Mouse

Built with:

OS 3.5 (CD included)
Mediator software (Software included)

It is a very stable set up and has done me well over the years as my main computer for everything, web, mail, photo processing, office etc.

No applications, as I don't intend to fully let go of the amiga scene as I plan to keep my A600 laptop project and will end up with an emulator on my windoze machine.

Any idea what I could reasonably expect to get on eBay for it?

Or if anybody wants to make me an offer before I put it on eBay, I am more than willing to listen.

Cheers guys.
