Just another oportunity that's being thrown away. Those processors have lower power consumption than equivalent X86s , and would indeed give a nice laptop.
Yeah, no prototype to license...shame really.

Actually, I've been messing with various methods to use a stock Pegasos inside of a laptop case.  Admittedly, it would be a bit thick, about the same as my old Compaq (that is, 2.25" thick) but it would work, in theory.  However, I'd need bbrv to forward me the CPU card slot data, so I could make the appropriate flat-card for the laptop.

@Jose

Without a definate market presence in the desktop, a proper laptop will not appear anytime soon.

However, Genesi does have a portable design in the pipeline, the Eclipsis.

Not against Transmeta’s CPU products....
Amiga 1200 PiStorm32-Emu68-RPI 4B 4GB.
Ryzen 9 7900X, DDR5-6000 64 GB, RTX 4080 16 GB PC.

@Hammer:

But Transmeta's are not rivals. If the core for the  processors was out you could have a 68k (or ppc) at the same mhz as todays transmeta's  :-o  :-o
