setting up ethernet card with mediator

erm.....

Where to start? Which device is it? unit?

Ideally i want to network, via samba or anything else that wqill work, my amiga to a windows network. any info much appreciated, ta!

1. First make sure you have installed the software MMCD from ELBOX.

2. Use PCIINFO command in C: to check if it's present. My unit number is set to 0. I don't think you have to use any other number than 0 unless you have several cards.

3. Use eg. Miami or MiamiDX to set it up in The device you should use is called either "MediatorNET.device" or "FastEthernet.device"
you can use them under SANA-II driver in MiamiDX
-I use the "MediatorNET.device"

5. insert your PC's IP in Miami(DX) (in DX it's in the database section).

6. Push online button and you're docked...

There are many other options to set and fix and I've let out a lot of them, so if anyone reading this could assist (Which I know there is) It would properbly clear things up...

If you don't have Miami then don't read this :-)
