IBrowse & screen redrawing
« on: August 18, 2007, 09:12:52 AM »
Hi all,

I dunno if anyone can help.

Look at my sig for details of my setup.

I've noticed that sometimes, when I have other programs opens (such as
Microdot) when running IBrowse, the screens redraw very slowly in
comarison to when IB alone is running. Then, it's very fast.

Is there any reason why this should be?

sometimes, it seems to happen when only IB is running but I have
several tabs open.

Is it a stack issue or something?

Thanks!

I think it is because of your Mediator. I have seen some posts about that problem on the Mediator mailing list with Ibrowse and other apps if I am not remember wrong now.

You can also try to open Deli or Eagleplayer and open up visual scopes while playing modules, you get the same effect - slow screen updates.

I don't know if this will help, but it won't hurt to try. Play with the refresh option in MUI preferences -> Windows.

Well, I set it to simple with No Clear. It seems a little faster, so thanks for that.

It was easy enough to remove ;) But no difference.

What was your theory?

This is defect of flash plugin for IBrowse, if is disabled this plugin, all run normal. If you are using flash plugin, try disable it. This ISN'T Mediator's mistake! I have A1260/50, Mediator, Voodoo 4, ...  8-)
